Umbrellas in the AM, Jackets in the PM: Your Guide to Navigating Today's Weather Shifts
Good morning! Grab your umbrella for some morning showers, but you can tuck it away by the afternoon as the clouds part a bit. Itβll be a cool day with highs just nudging 56Β°F. The breeze will be brisk from the WSW, so a light jacket wouldn't go amiss.
As night falls, keep your raincoat handy for possible late-night showers, with the mercury dipping to a chilly 42Β°F. Cozy up indoors as the rain chances hover around 40%, much like the day.
Humidity is climbing from a fresh 72% in the day to a more noticeable 83% at night, and for those of you venturing out, the UV index is mild at 3. Expect a daybreak at 7:11 am and an early evening as the sun sets at 5:32 pm.
For our lunar fans, the moon will peek out at 12:20 am and wave goodbye by 10:54 am, showcasing the last quarter. Enjoy the day and stay dry!
The Answer to the Walnut Creek Spotlight Hook Trivia Question πππ
B) Punxsutawney
Groundhog Day is celebrated on February 2nd each year in North America, where folklore suggests if a groundhog sees its shadow upon emerging from its burrow, there will be six more weeks of winter. If it doesn't, spring will come early. The tradition originated in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, with Punxsutawney Phil, the most famous groundhog, making the annual weather prediction. This event, deeply rooted in Pennsylvania Dutch superstition and ancient European weather lore, draws visitors from all over for a day filled with festivities.
