The Royale Eatery: Another New Brunch Hotspot in Pleasant Hill

Located at 2190 Contra Costa Blvd, this stylish eatery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and a carefully curated selection of specialty lattes—including chai, Thai, ube, and lavender.

The restaurant, which took over a space formerly occupied by Boston Market, has impressed guests with its chic decor, comfortable seating, and top-notch service. Visitors have praised the welcoming staff and flavorful menu, making it a must-visit spot for brunch lovers.

The Royale Eatery is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Guests can explore the menu at theroyaleeatery.com and follow their Facebook page for updates.

FROGGY: A High-Tech Graphic Novel Noir Thriller Premieres in 2025

The world premiere of FROGGY, a cutting-edge theatrical experience, is set to run from February 9 to March 2, 2025. Created by award-winning playwright Jennifer Haley, multimedia artist Jared Mezzocchi, and director Matt M. Morrow, this immersive production blends live performance with virtual media, film noir, and graphic novel aesthetics.

Set in 2007, FROGGY follows its namesake protagonist as she obsessively searches for her missing boyfriend. When she discovers cryptic clues hidden in a violent underground video game, she embarks on a dangerous journey into a digital underworld that may reveal his fate—and her own. The play’s multimedia storytelling and sensory-rich production bring a fresh, futuristic edge to the stage.

Running approximately 80 minutes without intermission, FROGGY contains intense audiovisual effects, including gunshot sounds, flashing lights, and depictions of potentially distressing themes. Due to its mature content, the production is recommended for audiences aged 15 and up.
