Walnut Creek’s brunch scene just got a major upgrade—Sweet Maple has officially opened its doors, bringing its beloved breakfast dishes and signature Millionaire’s Bacon to the downtown area.

Known for its creative takes on classic brunch favorites, Sweet Maple has built a strong following in the Bay Area. Now, Walnut Creek locals can enjoy its indulgent menu in a cozy, welcoming setting. Guests can expect a mix of sweet and savory dishes, along with the restaurant’s signature thick-cut, caramelized bacon that has become a fan favorite.

Headlands Brewing Celebrates Grand Opening in Walnut Creek

Headlands Brewing is officially opening its new taproom in Walnut Creek on Saturday, March 1st, with a full day of festivities from 11 AM to 10 PM. The event will feature live music from High Standards Band from 2 PM to 5 PM, specialty Jameson Irish Whiskey cocktails, and a lively atmosphere for attendees to enjoy.

In addition to the celebration, 10% of all sales from the day will be donated to Save The Bay, an environmental organization dedicated to protecting the San Francisco Bay. As a member of the 1% for the Planet initiative, Headlands Brewing continues its commitment to sustainability and community support.

Located at 2999 Oak Rd, the new taproom offers an inviting space for craft beer enthusiasts to gather. Guests are encouraged to stop by, enjoy the drinks and music, and support a great cause.

East Bay Women’s Conference Celebrates 20 Years of Empowerment in Walnut Creek

The 20th Annual East Bay Women’s Conference (EBWC) is set to take place on March 4, 2025, at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek. Hosted by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, this conference remains the only event of its kind in the East Bay, offering women opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Attendees will experience a dynamic lineup of keynote speakers, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities. The event also features an exhibitor marketplace, speaker meet-and-greets, author signings, and a fully stocked bookstore. Guests will be treated to a continental breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon reception with wine, hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment. Complimentary parking is provided.

The day kicks off with registration and badge printing from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM, followed by the conference from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. While tickets are non-refundable, attendees may transfer their registration to another guest if needed. If a scheduled speaker is unable to attend, the Walnut Creek Chamber reserves the right to provide a replacement.
