Teenagers and Police Engage in Melee at Walnut Creek BART Station Over Fare Dispute

A clash erupted at Walnut Creek BART station on Thursday when BART police, dealing with suspected fare evaders, were outnumbered by a group of ten teenagers. The confrontation intensified with the arrival of WCPD officers. During the incident, a teenager suffered a seizure but recovered and fled. At least two teens were detained, and a BART sergeant was injured but later released after receiving treatment.

The End of the Road: Reflecting on Northgate's Playoff Run

In a hard-fought playoff game, Northgate High School Boys Varsity Basketball team was defeated by Benicia High School, 67 - 60, ending their playoff run. Despite this setback, we commend the team for their dedication and spirit throughout the season. Let's continue to support and encourage the players as they look forward to next season.
