The Answer to the Walnut Creek Spotlight Hook Trivia Question 👇👇👇

C) It was named after "King Heather," a racehorse owned by John Marchbanks, who also named his property Heather Farm.

Heather Farm Park's name has an interesting history tied to racehorse breeding. John Marchbanks, a racehorse breeder, purchased the property in 1921 and named it after his favorite horse, King Heather. The site was previously known as Sulphur Springs Ranch, a health spa, before its transformation into the park we know today. The name "Heather Farm" was retained when the park was established in 1970, following the approval of a municipal bond by Walnut Creek voters in 1965 to fund community parks.
