Green Thumbs Up: Call for Volunteers at Walnut Creek's Earth Day Extravaganza

Sustainable Walnut Creek is calling for community involvement to shape an unforgettable Earth Month celebration. The initiative invites passionate individuals to take part in various activities, emphasizing that even the smallest efforts can create a significant environmental impact. The organization seeks assistance across multiple fronts: booth setup, social media coverage through photos and videos, event clean-up, and bike valet services. By volunteering, participants will be at the forefront of driving sustainability in the community. Everyone is encouraged to register and contribute their ideas to elevate the event and foster a greener future.

Find Your Furry Friend: Joybound's Mobile Adoption Event in Walnut Creek

The Joybound People & Pets initiative has unveiled a series of adoption events designed for individuals keen on welcoming new furry companions into their lives. The series includes a variety of opportunities, from sponsored adoption days to innovative mobile adoptions, ensuring that there are ample chances for prospective pet owners to meet their next pets. The initiative's dedicated team will be on-site to guide attendees through the adoption process, providing essential information on the health and behavior of the animals, as well as detailing the comprehensive post-adoption support services available. It's important to note that the adoptions will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, with no guarantees on the availability of specific animals at these events.

Among the scheduled events, a notable occurrence is the mobile adoption hosted at AvalonBay Communities. This event is planned for Friday, April 12, from 3 to 5 pm, and will take place at 1445 Treat Boulevard, Walnut Creek, CA. This particular event highlights the initiative's dedication to making the adoption process accessible and integrated within the community.
