Walnut Creek City Council will decide on a second Chick-fil-A at Oak Grove Road and Citrus Avenue, with neighbors divided over the plan. Some residents are concerned about potential traffic congestion and safety issues, while others see the new restaurant as an opportunity to rejuvenate the area and support local businesses. Early Bird Tickets Available for Walnut Creek's Summer Uncorked Event

Celebrate summer in style at Walnut Creek Downtown's Uncorked event on Thursday, June 20, from 5:30-8:30 pm. This delightful evening promises an array of experiences including over 30 wine, beer, and spirits tastings, live music, and entertainment. The event will feature a special "Chill Zone" presented by Visit Walnut Creek, wine trolley rides, and artisan vendors.

Early bird tickets are priced at $50, offering a $15 discount if purchased by May 31. After that, regular tickets will be available for $65 from June 1 to June 20. Designated driver tickets are also offered for $25 but must be purchased alongside an Uncorked ticket.

The event kicks off at Rudney Plaza at the Lesher Center for the Arts. Join this Sip, Savor & Stroll extravaganza, where you can enjoy a lovely summer evening sampling a variety of beverages, savoring food tastings, and listening to live music while strolling through downtown.
