Exciting culinary developments are happening in downtown Walnut Creek with the opening of two new restaurants, each bringing unique flavors to the area.
Xicote Cocina Mexicana has opened its doors where Capullo used to be. This new spot promises to delight with its delicious Mexican cuisine. Whether you're in the mood for traditional tacos, enchiladas, or something more adventurous, Xicote Cocina Mexicana is sure to satisfy your cravings. Check out their menu here.
In addition, Methi Indian Cuisine has taken over the location formerly occupied by Kokolo Donburi & Bar. Offering a menu full of authentic Indian dishes, Methi Indian Cuisine is the perfect place to explore a rich array of spices and flavors. Check out their menu here.

Increasing Coyote Sightings in East Bay Parks: Safety Tips for Visitors
With the rising number of visitors in East Bay Regional Parks, coyote sightings are more common. Visitors are urged to follow safety precautions such as avoiding solo hikes, keeping pets leashed, and staying on trails. If a coyote is seen, observe from afar and walk away calmly. In rare cases of close encounters, make yourself appear large and loud to deter the coyote. For emergencies, contact 911 or the park's public safety line. Learn More…
Join the Fiesta at Retro Junkie's Salsa Tuesdays!
Salsa Tuesdays at Retro Junkie in Walnut Creek offers a vibrant evening of salsa dancing, starting with lessons at 8 PM and open dancing from 9 PM to 1 AM. Admission is $10 at the door, with happy hour specials from 6-8 PM, including discounted drinks. A Latin food truck will provide tasty options on-site. The event is for those 21 and over, with a strict dress code and no outside food or drinks allowed. Free parking is available. Watch Video
